In 2005 I started a blog to describe my adventures in Antarctica (Emily's Trip to Antarctica). I quit working on it as soon as I arrived, but really, who wants to be inside working on a blog in such a beautiful place? Fortunately, Mumbai lacks everything that makes Antarctica wonderful - few people, brisk cold weather, incredibly clean air, penguins, cozy down jackets, airplanes that land on ice, snow school... so I should be much better at keeping this updated. That isn't to say Mumbai and McMurdo station don't have things in common- people in both 'cities' drive on the left side of the road. And traffic laws in McMurdo were ignored nearly as frequently as in Mumbai.
Regardless, I know everyone (mom) wants to hear/see updates about our year abroad. So here we go....
