Monsoon season

The thornless honeylocusts are nearly bare, but as darkness descends, the trees sparkle with tiny Christmas lights.  I love the fall in Chicago.  The warm rain is falling in sheets, and the clouds are flying past my window, blocking the Sears Tower.  I could watch the storms for hours. It is my idea of a perfect evening at home in Chicago.

Everyone asks what I'm most looking forward to in India.  It is probably naive, but I am incredibly excited for monsoon season.  Walking in warm rain is amazing.  I can't wait to experience some of the strongest rains in the world.
(I apparently wrote that on 11/4/2010 and never posted it....)
